We can finally show you the photos we shot for the new Billabong collection this past spring in Tenerife! Since it was the new autumn collection, we've had to wait all these months to be able to show you!
As you already know, Mauricio grew up in the Canary Islands and Billabong was one of his favourite brands when he was a teenager. It's not surprising, since this Australian brand is very popular in warm countries, among surfers and sports fans. The women's and men's collections have three main lines: the urban and casual lifestyle clothes, the Active line for snowboarding and the Surf line. The Billabong Headquarters in Europe is located in France, which is where we were contacted from last February! We were really excited when they told us that they loved our Universe and style! It's a very special feeling to work with brands you have known since you were a child, so shooting their new collection was an amazing experience!
It was a hectic production as we spent a busy week driving up and down the island looking for the best spots, some of which have become some of our classic spots to shoot. We told about some of our favourite spots in one of our previous posts about Tenerife, so feel free to hit our new search tab on the homepage!

For this production, we once again went to Teide National Park and drove to the north of the island, where you can find one of the most incredible volcanic beaches on the island with beautiful black sand - Benijo. Benijo is quite far from tourist spots, which makes it really special, highly recommended if you like enjoying places away from the crowds. Often you can even have the place to yourself. Another one of our favourite locations for photography and filming is El Médano, which is very close to Mauricio's house in the south of the island. We love this place due to its different and unique contrasts: the beach, mountains and rocks with delicate beige colours!
Now I'd like to tell you about the new collection. Firstly, all the pieces are very, very comfortable and casual. You can put on a light T-shirt and jeans and pack a swimsuit and a sweater or jacket in case you want to enjoy the sunset and a cozy evening at the beach, jump in the car and you're ready to explore new places. Secondly, the whole collection is just beautiful, with floral prints on dresses, light beiges and yellowish tones, reminiscent of autumn!

Сейчас же новые коллекции бренда - это не просто куртки, легкие майки и купальники. Billabong – это стиль жизни, который популярен среди любителей спорта в более 65 странах мира. Женские и мужские коллекции этого бренда представляют три главных линии: городская и повседневная одежда в стиле Lifestyle, линия ACTIVE для сноуборда и серф-линия. Европейский офис Billabong находится во Франции, именно оттуда мы получили сообщение c предложением о съемке новой осенней женской коллекции в стиле lifestyle! Работать с брендами, которые знаешь еще с детства, это особенное чувство. Это просто прекрасно, путешествуя по любимому канарскому острову снимать новую коллекцию для Billabong!
Про Тенерифе и наши любимые места на острове мы уже не раз делали посты в блоге, вам просто надо в поиске задать "Тенерифе". Если есть вопросы - задавайте. Для этой съемки мы снова были в Национальном парке Тейде и ездили на север острова, где находится один из самых невероятных пляжей острова Benijo с черным вулканическим песком. Benijo довольно далеко от туристических мест, что делает его действительно особенным. Очень советуем, если вы любите уединенные места. И еще одно из любимых мест для сьемки на Тенерифе - это El Médano, которое очень близко от дома Маурисио на юге острова. Мы любим это место за его уникальные контрасты - пляж, горы и скалы с нежными бежевыми цветами!
Отдельно хочу сказать немного про новую коллекцию. Во-первых, все вещи очень-очень удобные и практичные. Одеваешь легкую футболку и джинсы, берешь с собой рюкзак с купальником, не забываешь взять с собой свитер или куртку для уютных вечеров на берегу океана, садишься в машину и you're ready to explore new places. Во-вторых вся коллекция получилась очень красивая, мне очень нравятся цветочные принты на платьях, светлые бежевые и слегка желтые оттенки, напоминающие об осени!
